About Northwest Christian Church

Article Pic

The Northwest family is a group of believers who are dedicated to worshipping and serving God in Northwestern Cobb County (Georgia). We are now meeting in our new facility at 3737 Dallas-Acworth Highway in Acworth. The NWCC Campus consists of three buildings: our Administrative Office Building, our Multi-Purpose/Youth Building and our main building which houses our Worship Center, multiple classrooms, a kitchen and fellowship hall.

Our church family is friendly and out-going and just the right size so that no one gets lost in the shuffle. Our worship is contemporary (praise band and singers, with mostly updated songs and the occasional hymn to bring us back to our roots). We observe communion together weekly and believe that we are called to follow the example of Christ by following him with baptism by immersion.

We are excited to be able to take part in twenty-five active ministries, which are meant to help us grow as Christians, reach out to the world and to worship God with our talents. Our ministries are headed up by Ministry Team Leaders, under the leadership of a Ministry Elder. Our Volunteer Ministry is actively working to help people get plugged into the ministry that fits their skills, interests, goals and God-given desires.

About the Christian Church

The Christian Church is an non-denominational fellowship, free from all ecclesiastical ties, bound together by belief in the Word of God and by desire for the unity of all followers of Christ. We seek to build the Church of our Lord on earth as it was revealed in the New Testament, without human additions or subtractions, theologies or practices.

Our Mission Statement

NWCC exists to glorify God. We are a Bible-based people, drawn together in worship and service, committed to meeting the specific needs of our community through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that a Great Commitment to the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) and the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37-40) will produce a Great Church. We are striving constantly for excellence in equipping the body to point people to Christ.
