Why should I be serving in a ministry?
When Jesus took a towel, bent down and washed the feet of His disciples, He did it not only to serve these men that He loved, but to set an example for them of what it means to be one of His followers. Part of being a Christian is serving in His kingdom. According to the Bible, Christians are supposed to live their lives in service to God's church and each other. In the modern church, there are a myriad of ministry opportunities for those who have the heart and willingness to follow Jesus' example.
At Northwest Christian Church, we have 26 different ministry teams which strive to follow Christ's example inside and outside our church walls. Taking part in a ministry opportunity has a number of awesome benefits:
- For most ministries, there is a person or group who is directly being blessed by your ministry to them.
- Volunteers who are serving God through ministry grow in their relationships with Him, helping to mature and grow the church from the inside out.
- Serving in ministry is an awesome way to worship God, by showing Him how important His church is to us.
How can I learn more about NWCC's Ministries?
With the awesome success of the MINISTRY EXPO a few weeks ago, we wanted to offer an ongoing way for people to learn about the ministries of NWCC and to express interest in serving. To accomplish this, we have added a MINISTRY INTEREST FORM which will serve a couple purposes:
First, it is designed to explain the 26 Ministries of Northwest Christian Church, their role in the big picture and what types of opportunities exist in each one. Second, it is set up to allow you to express interest, request additional information and even volunteer to serve on the team.
When you are ready to check it out, Click Here and you will be taken to the form. Take your time to read about the different opportunities and to pray about how you might FIND YOUR FIT to serve in the Lord's Kingdom.
Where can I get some help to find the right place for me?
Northwest has a ministry team that is specifically focused on helping people find their ministry niche within our church family. The VOLUNTEER MINISTRY helps to match people to opportunities and we can help you find a good place to plug in, as well. To start the process, contact David Coons and we can "Find Your Fit" together.Printer Friendly Format
