The Eldership of Northwest Christian Church
At Northwest Christian Church, Elders are nominated from among the congregation to serve as leaders. Their goal is to help lead the church body in shepherding, ministry and spiritual matters, looking back to the Bible as the basis of their decisions. They strive to serve the Lord with all of their hearts and to lead their lives according to the requirements listed in Titus 1 and I Timothy 3.Scott Saunders is on his second consecutive term as the Chairman of the Elders.

In addition to being the Chairman of the Elders, Scott also teaches Sunday School, leads a FISH Group and oversees several ministry areas. Scott and his wife Pam have two beautiful daughters, Michelle & Heather.
Tony Cox became a member in 1984, while we were still East Marietta Christian Church. A Christian since 1957, Tony grew up in the Christian Church in Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and Southeast Atlanta. As a member at NWCC, he has been involved in several ministries, including Education, Youth, Children’s, Outreach, Shepherding and Discipleship Ministries. He has been an elder at Northwest since 1996. Tony has been married to Marsha since 1969 and they have two grown children, Leah and Andy.
Bob Menz is currently on Sabbatical, although he still performs many of the church's treasurer functions.

In addition to his other responsibilities, Bob was instrumental in the Building Project, acting as NWCC's General Contractor and Project Manager. Bob is married to Audrey and they have three grown children (Dustin, Cassie & Rob) and a nice collection of grandchildren, as well.
Ron Mobley has been the senior minister at Northwest since 1989, when his family moved to Marietta from Boca Raton, Florida.

Ron is happily married to Dr. Dee Mobley and they have four grown children, Nathan, Katie, Drew and Marcus, as well as two grand-daughters.

In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Art is a integral part of the Guest Services team, where he regularly greets and follows up with our Guests. Art and his wife Joyce have four grown children, Troy, Kristi, Mindy and Cory, and fourteen grandchildren.
Pel Carter became a member of East Marietta Christian Church in 1983 prior to the church's name change to Northwest Christian Church. Pel grew up in Savannah and joined the Christian Church in 1982. Pel has served in various leadership roles here at NWCC and has been an elder since 1991. He serves on the Technology, Finance and Human Resource teams, as well. Pel is married to Dianne and they have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
David Coons became a member in 1990, while we were still East Marietta Christian Church. As a member, he has been involved in many ministries, including the Men's Ministry, Adult Bible Fellowship, FISH, Drama, Missions and the Technology Ministry. David is married to Mindy and has three lovely daughters, Ashley, Alyssa and Amber.

Jason also serves regularly in the Men's Ministry, the FISH Ministry and in the Kids Ministry. Jason is married to NWCC's Children's Director Kellie and they have two children, Emma and Grayson.
